Content & Community Guidelines

These Guidelines keep MeloAI a creative and safe place. They apply to everything you generate, upload, publish, or share on the Service — tracks, lyrics, titles, artwork, profiles, comments, and event entries — and form part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can lead to content removal or account action.

• Do not submit lyrics, melodies, or recordings you do not have the right to use.
• Do not try to recreate a specific copyrighted song or an artist's catalogue.
• Do not upload reference audio you do not own or have permission to use.

Do not attempt to imitate a real, identifiable person's voice, name, or likeness in a misleading way or without their permission. Do not present AI-generated music as if it were officially created or endorsed by a real artist when it is not, on MeloAI or when you share it elsewhere. Do not impersonate MeloAI staff, moderators, or partners. Do not remove or falsify AI-content labels where a platform or the law requires them.

Do not create, upload, or share content that:

• is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity, in the markets where the Service operates;
• sexualises minors in any way, or exploits or endangers children;
• is pornographic or graphically sexually explicit (adult themes in lyrics are allowed without profanity and without explicit description, within these rules and applicable law);
• uses profanity, vulgar or obscene language, or swear words in lyrics, titles, or descriptions;
• discriminates against, shows contempt for, or harasses people, or incites hatred or violence against them, based on their region, hometown, country, nationality, race, ethnicity, skin colour, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, illness, or any other protected characteristic, or insults a religion or belief;
• insults, defames, harasses, or bullies a specific person;
• contains credible threats, incites violence, promotes terrorism, or encourages or glorifies self-harm or suicide;
• promotes illegal drugs or other prohibited substances, weapons, gambling, or prohibited goods;
• insults a nation, its leaders, its national flag or anthem, or other national symbols, or is political content that the law of a market we serve prohibits;
• is deceptive, fraudulent, or designed to scam others;
• deliberately spreads harmful misinformation, including about elections or civic processes; or
• infringes the privacy of others or exposes their personal information.

The Service operates across several countries. Content lawful in one market can be unlawful in another; where the law of a market we serve requires it, we may remove content or restrict its visibility in that market.

• Do not spam, artificially inflate plays, likes, votes, or followers, or manipulate rankings, charts, or event results.
• Do not use bots or scrapers, or attempt to bypass credit limits, payment, or security controls.
• Do not fraudulently interact with advertising (for example, automated or incentivised ad clicks).
• Do not resell or redistribute access to the Service without our permission.
• Do not operate multiple accounts to evade enforcement, rig votes, or farm rewards.

Publishing makes your track part of what every listener sees. When you publish:

• use honest titles, genres, and descriptions — no bait metadata or keyword stuffing;
• do not flood the feed with near-duplicate generations; keep drafts private;
• make sure artwork and lyrics you attach follow these Guidelines.

We may curate what surfaces in discovery (trending, mixes, reels, stations), reduce the reach of low-quality or borderline content, and unpublish content that breaks these rules.

We may review reported content and take action we consider appropriate — including removing content, limiting reach or features, removing event entries or prizes, or suspending or terminating accounts. For serious harms (such as child-safety violations) we act immediately and may report to the relevant authorities.

When a track breaks these Guidelines, we may restrict it:

• A restricted track becomes private. Only you can still see, play, download, or rename it. It no longer appears anywhere public, such as the home feed, search, your profile, playlists, or events, and it cannot be made public, shared, remixed, or entered in an event while it is restricted.
• We notify you with the violation group and its code (see section 9), and you can see the reason on the track in "Your Songs".
• You can send one appeal per restriction from "Your Songs", explaining why you think the decision is wrong.
• We send you the outcome as a notification. When a restriction is lifted, because we accept your appeal or after our own review, the track returns to the visibility it had before. If we keep the restriction, that decision is final for that restriction.

If you believe we got any other decision wrong, reply to the notice you received or contact [email protected]; where an appeal path is available we will tell you the outcome of the review.

If you see content that breaks these Guidelines, report it in the app where available, or contact [email protected]. To report copyright, voice, or likeness infringement specifically, use our Copyright & Takedown process.

To report a track, open the track's menu, choose "Report", and pick the reason that fits best; if none fits, describe the problem in your own words. You need to be signed in, you cannot report your own tracks, and you can have one pending report per track at a time.

• When you report in the app, the creator is never told who reported their track.
• A report never hides a track by itself: our moderators review every report and decide whether the track breaks these Guidelines.

When we restrict a track, the notification and the track in "Your Songs" show the violation group with a code such as MOD-402. Codes are the same in every language, so you can quote one when you contact [email protected]. The first digit of a code is the section of these Guidelines it falls under.

2. Respect intellectual property

• MOD-201 — Copies someone else's lyrics, melody or recording
• MOD-202 — Recreates a copyrighted song or imitates a specific artist

3. No impersonation or unauthorised voice cloning

• MOD-301 — Impersonates a real person, or MeloAI, its staff or partners

4. Prohibited content

• MOD-401 — Profanity or vulgar language
• MOD-402 — Discrimination by region, hometown, country or nationality
• MOD-403 — Discrimination by race, ethnicity or skin colour
• MOD-404 — Insults a religion or belief
• MOD-405 — Discrimination by gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or illness
• MOD-406 — Insults, defames, harasses or bullies a specific person
• MOD-407 — Sexually explicit content
• MOD-408 — Sexualises or harms children
• MOD-409 — Violence, threats or promotion of terrorism
• MOD-410 — Promotes self-harm or suicide
• MOD-411 — Drugs, weapons, gambling or prohibited goods
• MOD-412 — Insults a nation, its leaders or national symbols; political content banned in the market
• MOD-413 — Harmful misinformation
• MOD-414 — Scam or fraud
• MOD-415 — Exposes personal information
• MOD-416 — Other content illegal in the market

5. Authenticity and platform integrity

• MOD-501 — Spam, or manipulation of plays, votes or rankings

6. Publishing to the public feed

• MOD-601 — Misleading title, description or cover; mass near-duplicate uploads
